Zhang is chairing professor for research group of "Micro/Nanoelectronics System Integration and Reliability", and director of DIMES centre for Solid State Lighting Technologies. He authored/co-authored more than 170 scientific publications; chaired /co-chaired several international conferences (such as IEEE-EuroSimE, IEEE-ICEPT; Congress of MicroNanoReliability; China SSL, etc.); serves as associated editor for 2 international journals and chief editor for Springer book series "SSL Technology and Applications", and received several awards.As one of the renowned players in the fields of semiconductors and SSL technologies, Prof. Zhang has been playing active role in shaping the global landscape of Semiconductors and Solid State Lighting, and making active contribution to European Commission, Dutch and Chinese government funded R&D programs & projects definition and execution. Prof. Zhang is alsoDeputy director of European Center for Micro- and Nanoreliability (EUCEMAN)Vice chairman of Chinese Electronics Packaging Association, ChinaCo-Chairman of Advisory Board of International Solid State Lighting Alliance (ISA)
