                       Reading Selectively or Extensively?
Different people have different views on reading. Some of them hold that one should read selectively. They believe that ones time and energy are limited and one can never read as many books as he wishes. Furthermore, it is a waste of time to read irrelevant books and some books are even harmful.

However, many others maintain that one should read extensively. They insist that reading extensively may enable one to know the world from multi-perspectives and enhance one¡¯s understanding of life. Besides that, reading extensively can help keep pace with the development of modern technology.

As to me, the latter opinion is preferable to the former. We should read extensively in college so as to enrich our knowledge and broaden our mind, which is even truer in view of today¡¯s throat-cutting competition in labor market both home and abroad.
