To travel with a companion or travel alone is something of a dilemma to the public. Because they sometimes are confused by the good qualities of traveling with a companion, and neglect the genuinely good aspects of traveling alone. For my point of view, I would rather choose to go by myself. The reasons are debated as follow.
First and foremost, without a companion, I could enjoy the traveling and hence relax myself much better. Whatever emerges in my mind, I could carry it out without hesitation. I think that this kind of freedom is a fantastic gift for that trip. Nowadays, many guys are suffering too much from their jobs, which are filled with tough competition. A free trip would be pretty attractive for these persons.
In the second place, traveling alone would offer me more chances to understand the culture or tradition there. Since I have no any companion around, I could go everywhere and talk with every local people once I have the chance. My last trip in Beijin is just this case. When I roamed on the way to The Summer Place, a nice woman happened to walk with me. Then we talk a lot about how fascinating the old city is. Finally the woman was glad to guide me in the park, and tell me many stories about the famous resort, making the trip extra exciting. At that time I did enjoy myself.
Meanwhile, I do not want to deny the advantages from a companion. With him/her, I could get help at any time. Also, I would not be lonely any more. But, considering the overwhelming advantages of traveling alone, I still prefer to go without a companion.
To summarize, I believe that traveling alone has more advantages not only because it brings me more freedom, but also because I could learn more from this kind of trip. Therefore I strongly hold that I had better choose to travel alone.
